€2 Million Fund to Support Projects Addressing the Societal Impact of AI (UK / Europe)
The European AI & Society Fund is offering funding of €2 million to support innovative projects that address accountability for the harms caused by the use of AI on society. Applications are invited from organisations and coalitions across Europe that want to ensure Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used fairly, without leading to discrimination or human rights violations. Example projects include researching legal pathways to address AI-driven workplace or welfare discrimination, and developing complaints under EU laws to contest unauthorised AI data usage. Not-for-profit organisations can apply for AI Accountability grants ranging from €10,000 to €200,000. Applications are particularly encouraged from those with prior experience in securing accountability in related social justice fields. Concept notes must be submitted by the 6th January 2025.
