Protective Security for Mosques Scheme (England & Wales)
The UK Government is continuing to make funding available to reduce the risk and impact of hate crime and terror attacks at Muslim places of worship and their associated faith community centres in England and Wales. The funding is available through the Protective Security for Mosques Scheme for the free installation of protective security, such as CCTV, intruder alarms, security guarding services, and secure fencing. To apply for funding, applicants should submit evidence of their vulnerability and experience of hate crime. The scheme will remain open until further notice.

Grants for Urgent Maintenance Works & Small Repairs to Churches (UK)
Grants of between £500 and £5,000 (exceptionally up to £10,000)are available to churches across the UK requiring urgent maintenance works and small repairs identified as high priority within a recent Quinquennial Inspection, Building Survey or Condition Report.. The funding will enable listed and unlisted Christian places of worship, of any denomination, to investigate or address small problems and control building deterioration. This could include improvements to rainwater systems, removing vegetation growth from buildings, replacing gutter systems, addressing lost, damaged or slipped roof tiles, internal repairs to ceilings and walls, and electrical work. Project costs should be up to £20,000 incl. VAT and awards will never exceed 50% of the costs. The funding is made available through the National Churches Trust Small Grants Programme, which will accept applications until midnight on the 28th February 2025.

The National Churches Trust’s Medium Grants Programme (UK)
Grants of up to £10,000 are available to listed and unlisted Christian places of worship, of any denomination, across the UK towards project development and investigative work up to RIBA planning stage 1, to support churches preparing for a major project, and in developing their project to the point at which they can approach a major grant funder. Grants will never exceed 50% of the net project costs for this phase. The National Churches Trusts's Medium Grants Programme is also now able to offer grants of up to £10,000 for urgent and essential maintenance and repair projects costing between £20,000 and £80,000. Grants cannot exceed 50% of the net project costs. The deadline for applications is midnight on the 17th December 2024.

Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation (UK)
The Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation has announced that the next application deadline for their grants programme is 5pm on the 22nd November 2024. The programme is open to small UK-registered charities working in music, the performing arts, and Jewish life and learning. The Foundation will also accept applications which seek to defuse tension and promote peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jewish citizens of Israel, tackle antisemitism and Islamophobia in the UK, and promote peaceful co-existence and understanding between the UK’s Jewish and Muslim communities. The Foundation aims to support initiatives that significantly impact individuals and/or communities and leave a lasting legacy. Large charities will not be considered. Medical Research Travel grants of up to £1,000 are also available.
