Rise Up: Building Stronger Youth Work Across London

Empower your team. Strengthen your impact. Support young Londoners. London Youth’s Rise Up programme is designed to develop the confidence, leadership and professional practice of youth workers across the capital.

London Youth’s Rise Up programme focuses on supporting those working with young people whose lives are affected by violence, trauma, and challenging circumstances.

Since launching, Rise Up has worked with over 260 youth professionals from 28 London boroughs, delivering hundreds of training sessions and one-to-one coaching opportunities that have helped transform how organisations engage, protect, and empower young people.

What the programme offers

  • Practical training and leadership development
Covering key areas such as trauma-informed youth work, conflict resolution, contextual safeguarding and effective partnership working.

  • Coaching and peer support
Participants benefit from one-to-one coaching and the chance to build a lasting network with peers across London.

  • Flexible formats
Choose between the 10-week Lite programme or the full 6-month programme, both designed to fit around existing commitments.

  • Proven impact
Graduates report increased confidence, improved practice, and stronger outcomes for the young people they support.

Who can take part

Rise Up is open to frontline youth practitioners, team leads, and project managers working with young people in any London borough. Organisations of all sizes are encouraged to apply, particularly those seeking to build resilience, leadership, and trauma-informed approaches within their teams.

Why get involved

By investing in the people who work directly with young Londoners, Rise Up strengthens the whole sector—building the skills, networks, and confidence needed to create safer, more supportive environments for young people to thrive.
