Funding now open for community projects in Merton

Local community groups and organisations have the chance to apply for new funding to support projects that strengthen neighbourhoods and take action on climate change.
Merton Council has opened applications for the Investing in Neighbourhoods Fund and the Community Climate Action Fund, which will provide grants to projects that improve local spaces, bring people together and help create a greener, more sustainable borough.
The Investing in Neighbourhoods Fund is designed to support improvements to community facilities and infrastructure, while the Community Climate Action Fund focuses on community-led initiatives that reduce carbon emissions or help residents adapt to climate challenges.
Applications are open until 11.59pm on Monday 13 October 2025. Funding decisions will be made in early 2026.
In previous years, successful projects have included new planting and seating in local parks, energy education in schools, heritage trails, and the creation of eco-friendly community spaces.
